Class Description

This class the first of a two year course designed to increase students' employabilty in the building trades through academic training and hands-on work in the area of carpentry. The course work would then be followed by on-the-job placement after the completion of the program after high school graduation. Some activities include preparing the building site, estimating materials, rough framing, and the safe use of a variety of hand and power construction tools
